Lockdown Theatre

Lockdown Theatre is Rob Grant and Paul Jackson's charity initiative that stages live table reads with A-list casts and exclusive chats with notable luminaries, all livestreamed to an online audience. It developed from Rob, Paul and Ed Bye's weekly Quarantine Commentaries, and began with two table reads of unproduced sci-fi comedy scripts, written by Rob Grant and James Hendrie. These first shows starred, amongst others, Chris Barrie, Hattie Hayridge, Robert Lindsay and Lee Cornes.

As the audience grew, Rob and Paul embraced and developed the format and now stage classic plays from Tom Stoppard, Samuel Beckett and that guy from Series IV's Meltdown. Over the course of five productions, the audience has raised close to half a million pounds for arts and sports charities so far, and the shows have starred, among others, Sir Kenneth Branagh, Dame Judi Dench, Sir Alex Ferguson and Emma Thompson.
